Damage to your cosplay props or armour? The Victoria Tool Library has you covered with our cosplay repair station. They have all the tools and materials you need to re-glue, touch up, or make a creative repair to your costume so you can get back on the convention floor! Come find their booth if you need repairs, want to know more about the tool library, or just to say hello!
Dressing up at Capital City Comic Con? Did something happen to your cosplay costume and you need help repairing it at the event? Julie Jensen Custom Costumes makes custom clothing for all kinds of genres like anime, manga, sci-fi, steampunk, comic book as well as special occasions. The items are finished with a particular eye to detail and authenticity. Custom embroidery is also available on garments or as a separate commission. At the con they will provide repairs to garments and wigs as well as styling fixes for the wigs. Repairs range from free to a fee, depending on the amount of work that is involved.
Come experience the fun of a galaxy far, far away! Meet the local members of the 501st Legion (Outer Rim Garrison), the Rebel Legion (Falcon Base), the Mandalorian Mercs (Wasu’ran Clan), Saber Guild (Alderaan Temple) and the Droid Builders Clubs – and interact with them! ACTIVITY ALERTS! Droid Hunt Come to the Galactic Fan Experience and get yourself a droid companion! It is your job to protect your droid badge, but if any of our costumed members find you - you may lose it! Imperials will confiscate it, Rebels will rescue it, and the Mercs? You never know who they are working for. Don't worry, they will trade you for a ticket to a prize draw at the end of the day. This is a free activity for all ages, and you can keep coming back for more droid badges to protect! Prize draws to take place 1 hour before con close daily. Blast-a-Trooper Ever wanted to battle a Stormtrooper? How about just blast one? We guarantee that even if they shot back (which they won’t) they wouldn’t hit you! Come to the Galactic Experience zone to join in the fun. Always a big hit, and all proceeds are donated to charity. Photos for Charity Have you ever wanted to actually meet Darth Vader? A Jedi? The Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club is an international STAR WARS™ costuming organization dedicated to celebrating the STAR WARS™ universe through the creation, display, and wearing of quality character costumes that represent the Mandalorian characters and culture from the STAR WARS™ sagas. Come into Crystal Garden to get your picture with the Mercs by donation to Capital City Comic Con’s charity of choice, Story Studio! They will also have colouring sheets and stickers to hand out. Vancouver Island Ingress Players Association (VIIPA) is an inclusive volunteer organization dedicated to the island’s Ingress Agents. VIIPA supports the community via organizing public events, promoting Ingress regardless of in-game faction, and provides a contact point for Niantic Labs to assist in organizing officially sponsored events. Ingress is the first Geo-Location game created by Niantic Labs and is the inspiration for the wildly successful Pokemon Go. Vancouver Island Pokémon Go Syndicate (VIPGS) is a volunteer organization dedicated to bringing the players of the game Pokémon Go and the diverse community groups together. Come visit them at CapCity where they will be doing Catch Challenges and Gym Leader Battle Challenges. Their focus is on bringing fun, friends, and family together under a shared interest of catching pocket monsters! Company of the Blue Dragon is a heavy armoured combat team based on Vancouver Island. Wearing medieval armour and wielding real blunted steel weapons, they fight in non-scripted, full force combat in 1 on 1 duels, pro fights and Buhurts (melees). Find them on the list field outside Crystal Garden. “Buhurt” is an international sport. Most tournaments are held in Europe at old medieval castles. This years International Medieval Combat Federation World Championships will be held in Spain at Castillo de Belmonte, where 4 of their fighters will be fighting on Team Canada.
