Skeet Ulrich

Born and raised in Virginia, Skeet was discovered in a stage production at New York University by David Mamet. Skeet worked as an apprentice to the legendary writer/director at the acclaimed Atlantic Theater Company, performing in several the company's productions, including Reckless and Hedda Gabler.  Ulrich's transition from stage to screen came courtesy of director, Stacey Cochran, who cast him in the CBS Schoolbreak Special, Same Difference. She would later cast him her feature film debut, Boys opposite Winona Ryder, Lukas Haas, and John C. Riley. Around this time, Skeet also found success acting in the cult teen classic The Craft and the Bruce Beresford film Last Dance starring Sharon Stone.

Skeet’s breakout role came as Billy Loomis in Wes Craven’s horror masterpiece Scream opposite Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courtney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Jamie Kennedy, Rose McGowan, and Drew Barrymore. Scream is credited with revitalizing the horror genre in the 1990s, which was considered to be almost dead and has now become one of the most profitable genres today. For his work in the film Skeet was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Skeet’s extensive feature film work includes James L. Brooks’ Academy Award winning romantic comedy As Good As It Gets opposite Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, and Greg Kinnear; Academy Award Winner Richard Linklater’s The Newton Botys opposite Matthew McConaughey, Ethan Hawke, and Vincent D’Onofrio; and Academy Award Winner Ang Lee's Civil War-era drama Ride With The Devil opposite Tobey Maguire and Jeffery Wright. He recently starred as infamous kidnapper David Mitchell in the Lifetime movie, I Am Elizabeth Smart, opposite Alana Boden and Deirdre Lovejoy. The film was featured on the Rolling Stone's 2017 list of 10 True Crime Shows to Watch this fall and was nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award for Best Movie Made for Television.

Skeet Ulrich currently stars as F.P. Jones - leader of the Southside Serpents - on the hit CW series Riverdale, which is based on Archie Comics.
